An update from your neighbourhood policing team |

|
Dear Resident
I wanted to take a moment to update you on what your Police neighbourhood team have been up to in your local area and highlight the issues affecting the community
Over the past few weeks your local officer PC Middleton and PCSO Gruitt have: -Conducted high visibility patrols in identified hotspot areas (There has been an increase in bike thefts, pedal and moped so PLEASE keep them locked up and out of street view if you can) -Carried out patrols in areas with higher reports of Anti social behaviour- however this has dipped slightly (probably because it hasn't stopped raining!) -Executed Warrant enquiries -Engaged with local shops to help crack down on shoplifters which remains to be a huge issue -Engaged with local schools and booked in various educational visits including the upcoming KNIFE ANGEL which is coming to Plymouth in March so we will be completing work shops with the child centered policing team with the secondary schools about knife crime and the dangers of carrying a knife etc. -Worked along side partner agencies for safeguarding vulnerable people. -Worked with housing to tackle neighbour issues and criminality such as that awful cannabis smell which seems to be everywhere now annoying neighbours. -Carried out vehicle stops/checks- There is an increase in drink and drug drivers and there is NO EXCUSE for it. We have been making our presence known in the pubs a lot more due to this when jobs allow. -Multi agency meetings including with councillors, housing, social services, other departments within the Police to tackle rising people/problem areas. -We have also been very busy with cordons as there has been a rise in major incidents requiring lots of resources to all pull together to keep you safe
We will be attending locations where you can come and speak to us and report issues or concerns in person if you prefer, so keep an eye on our engagement messages for where we will be on certain dates (if emergencies allow)
Please message us if you have any concerns Stay Safe PC Middleton
